Beyond her professional qualifications, Kate’s life is enriched by her roles as a friend, volunteer, lifelong learner, and avid lover of film, music, plants, and books. She finds joy in embroidery, public speaking, camping, and spending time at beaches and lakes. Once a bush care and Landcare volunteer and community choir singer, she continues to bring these nurturing and creative qualities to her work. Kate has personal experience as a carer, which deepens her empathy and understanding of the challenges her clients may face.

A passionate advocate for open conversations about living, dying, and death, Kate facilitates Death Cafés, following Death Café guidelines; fostering frank, informal, no-holds-barred profound discussions in community settings. Over beverages and food, people connect and make sense of their finite lives!
